Few days off spent with my Family and I feel great! I love cooking for them…. They all work long hours, so its nice to welcome them home with a healthy cook dinner. Dont think that we are all on diet! ๐ We love good food-clean food. Some people might think… Whats a clean food means? I give you a simple answer… It is a healthy approach of eating with limited amount of refined grains, meat, reduced use of salt and sugar and exclusion of fizzy drinks.
Healthy eating includes using only whole ingredients to prepare a meal. Time is very important to me… so I keep meals simple, but still remember to include a source of whole grains, proteins, vitamins and healthy fat. I use a lot of herbs and spices.
It is so tasty that I need to remind my beloved ones to eat slowly, because way of eating is very important for proper digestion. I also care about regular schedule of eating. I try to make four meals per day and serve them at the time of the day. Another tip I follow is eat when I am hungry and stop when I am full-satisfied, not stuffed.
It helps me and my Family to be slim and fit! I am 47 years old woman. My height is 164cm and my weight is 56kg. I have never been on any diet, but I had a period in my life when I was overweight!
It was 15 years ago when I came to UK! City life is not easy…. Everyone is rushing, running… No time to cook proper meal! The easiest and cheapest way to grab take away food and eat it in a hurry on the bus or tube! Tasty and filling…!!!!! It became my addiction! HUGE mistake! Three months later from slim 52 kg woman I became over 70 kg BIG woman! I did not know what was happening to me…. Every day i saw my body was ‘swollen’! I felt constantly tired and all the time hungry…. so I was eating and eating… Snacks filled up my handbag! To give myself booster of energy I drunk energy drinks! Whats the illusion!!!!!! One morning I could not wake up to work, because I felt so tired…. And you know what I decided to change my habits.
I gave up fast foods. I started cooking at home. Simply food… I call them easy cook, or 15 min dish! I will share receipes with you. ๐
I did not follow any diets, knowing that yoyo effect might ruin my plan! I reduced portions. Breakfast in the morning, smothie, fruits as a snacks, homemade take away lunch, veg smothie as desert and light dinner made at home. It was hard at the begining, but I had my ‘fat’ picture set up as wallpaper on my phone, so whenever I thought about ordering junk food I had a look on the screen and appetite gone! ๐
It took me two years to loose weight for good without ‘yoyo’ ย effect! I started attendding Zumba classes to strenght my muscles. Walking, jogging and cycling are my favourite cardio exercises. I do some 10min exercises at home to keep myself fit.
I completely changed my habits to feel better and live happier life!ย
