Hi Everyone 🙂
I hope everyone is keeping well. It was a while since my last post, but I am back now 🙂
Recently, we talk a lot about antibodies that tackle the coronavirus and boosting our immune system to fight the virus.
In my today’s post I would like to share with you some information about my personal immune booster, I and my family take. It is Bovine Colostrum. What is so outstanding about this supplement what other do not have?
It is 100% natural product and not a lot of people know how it can help us to keep our body in good health. Lets start from definition, what colostrum is? It is a form of milk produced by the mammary glands in late pregnancy and the few days after giving birth. Human and bovine colostrum are thick, sticky and yellowish. It has high concentrations of nutrients and antibodies.
Let’s talk about what makes colostrum so amazing!
Colostrum is considered the first immunity (or vaccination) that baby receives. Breast milk is high in protective antibodies and white blood cells, which destroy bacteria. It also has probiotics and prebiotics. Probiotics are the friendly bacteria and prebiotics are the food that feeds the good bacteria! Breastmilk helps the good bacteria colonise baby’s gut, helping to prevent the bad bacteria from growing and causing illness. Antibodies are made by mum when she comes into contact with bacteria (germs). Antibodies fight off the bacteria and also go into her breastmilk to help protect her baby.
I have found Bovine colostrum as very useful supplement, because it contains a wide variety of bioactive components that have antiviral activity directly or indirectly stimulating the immune system to identify, isolate, and destroy viruses. Colostrum contains:
- Immunoglobulins (especially IgG, IgA and IgM, antibodies that protect against bacteria, viruses, parasites, and other harmful intruder,
- Lactoferrin, a protein that helps absorb iron and blocks bacterial growth,
- Enzyme inhibitors that help with the absorption of immunoglobulins and prevent their breakdown
- Nucleatides, that make up DNA and help with iron absorption and gut repair
- Cytokines, which can help immunity.
- Minerals,
- Vitamins,
- Proteins,
I take 1 tablet a day with a glass of water before breakfast to maintain a healthy immune system.
I always purchase colostrum supplements from a reputable source and my recommended and certified is:
