Mullein-Lung Loving Herb

Good afternoon all!

I hope everyone is well and relaxed after summer holidays. 🙂 I just came back from the ‘green lungs’ of Poland, where I have visited few herbal shops and bought some bags of herbs for the winter season.

One of them is Mullein, flowers and leaves.

Not so many people are lucky to live on the countryside, free of damaging our lungs pollution. Many viruses and bacteria are causing respiratory system infections too. Our respiratory system is very busy and overwhelmed trying to clean waste gases from our body. This system helps our body absorb oxygen from the air so our organs can work properly. Prevention is the key from catching respiratory infection. I do recommend mullein herbal tea as one of the prevention tips.

You can use mullein flower and leaves. It has beneficial properties such as: open the lungs (eases spasms, tightness and cough). Soothes irritation and dryness. Drinking mullein tea relaxes respiratory muscles and boost your breathing.

How To Make Mullein Tea

Ingredients
  • 2x tables spoons of dried leaves/flowers of mullein
  • 0,5 litre of boiled (90 degrees) water
  • Raw honey (for taste)
Procedure
  1. Add a small handful of dried leaves to a strainer teapot and pour with boiled (90 degrees )water.
  2. Leave it for 15–30 minutes.

Drink in the morning 30min. before meal for 3 months if you can.

Enjoy and do not forget about a breathing technique while walking in the green areas.
