Good afternoon lovely people!π₯° We just reached the end of the month and welcomed Spring season!π€πͺ΄π·April and May are also the months of Stress and Mental Health Awarness! Mental disorder is very serious illness which can affect anyone, anytime! What is mental health? Mental health includes our emotional, psychological and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others and make healthy choices. There are many types of mental disorders. The most common is mood disorder. Everyone has got that moments when we do not want to get up in the morning, but we are motivated! For many people it’s become as a emotional pain and inner fight to get up, because they lose any sense of doing that. It can lead to depression, bipolar, anxiety disorder. It’s hard to recognise, as many people hide the symptoms and do not want to get professional help. Personality disorder is a deeply ingrained pattern of behaviour of a specified kind that deviates from the norms of generally accepted behaviour. Psychotic disorder is when people lose some contact with reality. What causes mental health issues? In many cases it’s childhood abuse, trauma, or neglect. Drug and alcohol addiction also lead to mental health issues. Social isolation or loneliness, experiencing discrimination and stigma, social disadvantages and STRESS! It’s really hard to self diagnose if we suffer, but I have got a drawing from person overwhelmed with stress and anxiety. She pictured her feelings:

What you can read from this drawing? This is inner side of the person suffering mental disorder. She is young, beautiful, smiley, well educated, intelligent, empathic person when you see and talk to her! This is how mental disorder looks like without definitions and words! Just picture! I am thankful that it has been recognised now widely and people can talk openly about it! Mental Health Awarness is really needed, especially now when people are very stressed. There is no cure for mental illness, but there are lots of effective treatments. Sometimes we might need just to change our lifestyle and open more to right people and ask for help!
