High Glucose Facts and Prevention

Good Day Everyone! It is lovely sunny Sunday! 🙂

Today I would like to share my concerns about diabetes, second after cardiovascular disease associated with modern civilisation. It is well known illness and can affect all of us, anytime.

There are a number of major diabetes risk factors like: obesity, Lack of physical activity, un-natural diet, genetics, high blood pressure, aging.

What is diabetes? Diabetes is a serious, lifelong condition where your blood glucose level is too high. There are two main types: 1 and 2. They’re different conditions, but they’re both serious. When you’ve got Type 1 diabetes, you can’t make any insulin at all. If you’ve got Type 2 diabetes, it’s a bit different. The insulin you make either can’t work effectively, or you can’t produce enough of it. In both types of diabetes, because glucose can’t get into your cells, it begins to build up in your blood. And too much glucose in your blood causes a lot of different problems.

To begin with it leads to diabetes symptoms like: having to wee a lot, being incredibly thirsty, and feeling very tired. You may also lose weight, get infections like thrush or suffer from slow healing wounds. Over a long period of time, high glucose levels in your blood can seriously damage your heart, your eyes, your feet and your kidneys. These are known as the complications of diabetes.

But with the right lifestyle and habits there’s much less risk that someone will experience these complications. Prevention is very important.

I work with a 36 years man, who is in potential risk of being diabetic due to his family history. I have asked him many times if he did any necessary checks, but his answer was negative. He was blaming his GP, because one time he tried to book general blood test and they refused to do it due to lack of symptoms. I advised him Blood Glucose Monitoring to start with and also change his daily routine and habits. We have done online BMI test and the result was OBESE! My next questions were about exercises and balanced diet? No exercises at all…. Most of the day we sit at the desks, so not moving around make us tired! He does not know how to cook! All his meals are ‘ready to eat’ or ‘fast food’! He does not understand the consequences of being so ignorant and lazy! He could easily improve his health by changing his daily habits by implementing easy ways to control blood sugar levels naturally by:

Exercise RegularlyExercise increases insulin sensitivity and helps your muscles pick up sugars from the blood. This can lead to reduced blood sugar levels.

Control Your Carb IntakeCarbs are broken down into glucose, which raises blood sugar levels. Reducing carbohydrate intake can help with blood sugar control.

Increase Your Fiber IntakeEating plenty of fiber can help with blood sugar control, and soluble dietary fiber is the most effective.

Drink Water and Stay HydratedStaying hydrated can reduce blood sugar levels and help prevent diabetes. Water is best.

Implement Portion ControlThe more control you have over your serving sizes the better control you will have over your blood sugar levels.

Control Stress LevelsControlling stress levels through exercise or relaxation methods such as yoga will help you control blood sugars.

Monitor Your Blood Sugar LevelsChecking your sugars and maintaining a log every day will help you adjust foods and medications to decrease your sugar levels.

Get Enough Quality SleepGood sleep helps maintain blood sugar control and promote a healthy weight. Poor sleep can disrupt important metabolic hormones.

Eat Foods Rich in Chromium and MagnesiumEating foods rich in chromium and magnesium on a regular basis can help prevent deficiencies and reduce blood sugar problems.

Try Apple Cider VinegarAdding apple cider vinegar to your diet can help your body in many ways, including reducing blood sugar levels.

Experiment with Cinnamon ExtractCinnamon has been shown to reduce fasting blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity.

Try Berberineit works well for lowering blood sugar levels and can help manage diabetes. However, it may have some digestive side effects.

Eat Fenugreek SeedsConsider giving fenugreek seeds a try. They are easy to add to your diet and can help regulate blood glucose levels.

Lose WeightKeeping a healthy weight and waistline will help you maintain normal blood sugar levels and decrease your risk of developing diabetes.

Try Gymnema Sylvestre herbal supplement This powerful herb promotes glucose utilization in the cells thus lowering blood glucose. It also prevents the liver from releasing more glucose into the blood stream, lowers cholesterol and triglycerides. Some people feel it is one of the most powerful herbs for treating high blood glucose – both type 1 and 2 diabetics. Also Gymnema Sylvestre may help rejuvenate beta cells in the pancreas and helping heal the condition.

Have a lovely and relaxing day everyone!:)

Well, I can say that having type I diabetes is trying to learn all life about it. I never eat out, never ever because that is a disaster each time. I also find (after 35 years in medical research) that every case of type I diabetes is very unique and individual because the cause can be quite different and also the situation, as well as accompanying conditions. Most type I diabetics are slim or very slim, at least these who I know. Well, they have to consume glucose in large amounts sometimes to avoid their hypos. I’ve been underweight for the most part of life and I do not think eating guidelines for type II can really help those with type I because it is a very specific disease. Also, magnesium, calcium, vitamin D, vitamin K and A, as well as potassium are regulated by the body by a specific balancing mechanism. The recent research reveals that the body will get rid of any excesses in order to keep these elements in balance.
People have to be very cautious with supplements and anything that comes not from a natural source in a natural state, but has been processed and presented as powder, pill, drink, so on. Every person has a perfect amount of water and other liquids they should consume, and believe or not: overdoing with water (huge amounts within a few hours) caused irreversible kidney failure.
Therefore, whether diabetic or not: everybody should stay away from chemicals, nothing destroys beta cells on pancreas faster than harsh chemicals which is the leading cause of chronic pancreatitis which if untreated results in type I diabetes with hardly any insulin production. It can be not only that, damaged pancreas is unable to release digestive enzymes, and the person pretty much receives no nutrition since everything is leaving without being absorbed.
My personal point is that any knowledge about such diseases is great and any attempt to widen the scope of such knowledge is, too, but the person will do much better if they really are aware of what is going on hence no doctor can ever predict or understand their particular condition 100%
